What are Folders?

Folders provide a collaborative space to organize and plan your daily life!

Folders can be leveraged in a variety of ways depending on your needs whether it be weekly chores, meal planning or even planning a vacation!

Color coding across Maple:

Maple’s color coding system relies heavily on Folders to help power it across the app.

As you can see below, I have a folder set up for an upcoming trip to London. The color of the folder is blue.

Everything I add to this folder is blue to match, whether it’s an event or a todo item on my list. This makes it incredibly easy to distinguish different items from different folders.

There is no “right” or “wrong” way…

You can set up folders for anything you feel is vital to keeping your household organized. Here are some great examples of folders you might find helpful while getting set up:

Important to note: Folders are the core working surfaces within Maple but not every Folder requires each everyone's attention. Members will only see the Folders they are invited to be part of. Furthermore, members will not see any To-dos, Events or any information that are housed within Folders they are not part of either.

Creating a Folder on your own:

Start a blank folder:

Enter a name and select an emoji that best represents the Folder you are creating.

Be sure to choose a color for that Folder. All To-dos, Events, Notes and any other tools you decide to leverage related to this Folder will show up in the color you have chosen here making it super easy to track and manage!
