If you are in the process of connecting your Google Calendar to Maple and encounter an error, it means there was an issue with the permissions granted to Maple during the connection process.

Steps for fixing this issue

Step 1: Disconnecting Google Calendar from Maple

This can be done by navigating to the Google Calendar section under the "External Calendars” under Calendar Settings.

Select “Google Calendar” and tap “disconnect”.

This is going to trigger an error message - It's to be expected and you can ignore it.

Step 2: Revoking all access to Maple within Google

Revoking access to Maple within Google is a crucial step because it will essentially reset the connection.

To do this please navigate to this link: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

Verify that you are logged into the correct Google account (the account that you connected to Maple in the past). Tap "Remove Access" next to Maple (as seen below).

Step 3: Reconnecting Google Calendar in Maple

After completing Step 2, you’ll have completely erased any connection and permissions between Google and Maple. Essentially, you are creating a fresh start.

Head back into Maple and go back to “Calendar Settings” and “External Calendars”.

You’ll want to Reconnect Google Calendar to Maple.

BE SURE to grant all permissions to Maple. You'll notice that 3 of the 5 check boxes are automatically ticked. You will need to tick the final boxes (as seen below). Once done, hit continue and everything should connect smoothly.
